Here are some helpful guidelines to spark your creativity when landscaping your table:
1. Pick a Theme/Color Scheme
Is your party for a specific holiday, season, or gathering to celebrate a friend? Every table should have a theme.
2. Mix Textures:
Use a mix of fabrics, flowers, succulents, metal and natural objects, and candles. Generally anything that fits within the theme of your table and adds a bit of dept. If you are using a lot of fresh flowers and soft linens, add in a pop of brass to add visual texture.
3. Don't use anything too tall!
You want conversation to flow at your gathering. Having items on the table that are tall can block conversation and keep people from mingling.
4. Use Color!
Tablescapes are everything when you play with colors! Depending on the look you are going for, you can use a monochromatic color palette with different tones of the same color. Or you can use colors as accents to create contrast and visual appeal.
